Karnataka emerged as the champion in the National Inter-State women’s tennis championship beating Madhya Pradesh 2-0 in the final on Friday at Bhilai.
Soha Sadiq of Karnataka defeated Rashi 6-0, 6-2 in the opening singles and later, skipper Prathibha Prasad sealed the issue for Karnataka beating Sara Yadav 7-5, 6-2. Earlier in the semi-finals, Karnataka beat Telangana 2-0
Mr. P.R. Ramaswamy, Jt secretary of the KSLTA congratulated the team and announced Rs . 1 Lakh cash award to each of the four players of the team.
