ITF-J30 Bengaluru witnessed an action-packed day as top-ranked players and teams competed fiercely for spots in the finals across multiple categories. The day’s matches showcased immense talent and determination, with players delivering exceptional performances.
Boys' Singles U18 (BS18) - Semifinals
(1) Sehaj Singh Pawar (IND) def. (3) Adhiraj Thakur (IND) 6-7(5) 6-3 6-2
Top seed Sehaj Singh Pawar displayed resilience, bouncing back from a tough first-set loss to claim victory in three sets, securing his place in the final.
(5) Ojas Mehlawat (IND) def. Aashravya Mehra (IND) 6-4 3-6 6-2
Ojas Mehlawat powered through a challenging match, recovering from a second-set setback to dominate the third, advancing to the final.
Boys' Doubles U18 (BD18) - Final
Shaurya Bhardwaj and Hruthik Katakam (IND) def. (4) Aarav Chawla (IND) and Har Abir Sekhon (AUS) 6-2 6-4
The pair of Shaurya Bhardwaj and Hruthik Katakam showcased impeccable teamwork, winning the final in straight sets with a combination of precision and strategy.
Girls' Singles U18 (GS18) - Semifinals
(4) Snigdha Kanta (IND) def. (1) Sreenidhi Balaji (IND) 7-6(7) 6-2
In a thrilling upset, Snigdha Kanta defeated top seed Sreenidhi Balaji, winning a close first-set tiebreak before dominating the second set to secure her spot in the final.
(5) Mahika Khanna (IND) def. (3) Amodini Naik (IND) 6-4 2-6 6-2
Mahika Khanna rebounded after a second-set loss, displaying resilience in the third set to earn her place in the final.
Girls' Doubles U18 (GD18) - Final
Aanya Choubey (S3) (USA) and Aakruti Narayan Sonkusare (IND) def. Angel Patel and Pal Upadhyay (IND) 7-6(2) 6-4
Aanya Choubey and Aakruti Sonkusare won a hard-fought match, taking the first-set tiebreaker and securing the second set with a decisive break of serve to claim the title.
The tournament continues to showcase outstanding talent and fierce competition as the final stages approach. The prize distribution ceremony for the doubles events was graced by Mr. M S Parswanath, Director of Projects & Facilities, Jain Group of Institutions, alongside ITF Supervisor who presented the awards to the winners and runners-up.
