Karnataka teams in doubles final at National Games.

The Karnataka Men's and Women's team made it to the doubles final of the 36th National Games being played in Gujarat. In the semifinals played at the Sabarmati Riverfront courts in Ahmedabad, the team of Adil Kalyanpur and SD Prajwal Dev overcame Sivadeep Kosaraju and Ananth Mani Muni of Andhra Pradesh 5-7,6-3,10-6 to make it to the title round.
 
In the women's doubles semifinals, the pair of Soha Sadiq and Sharmada Balu breezed past the Haryana duo of Sandeepti Singh and Rithu Ohlyan 6-2, 6-1.
 
Meanwhile as many as three players from the State made it to the singles semifinals. Both the entrants in the men's singles - SD Prajwal Dev and Manish G advanced to the last four stage with contrasting victories with the latter staging an upset victory over fourth seed Karan Singh of Haryana 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 and Prajwal breezing past Abhinav Sanjeev of Tamil Nadu with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
 
Sharmada Balu overcame Paavani Pathak of Telangana 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 to make it to the last-four stage in the women's singles..
