The Picturesque KSLTA Tennis Stadium at Cubbon Park, Bengaluru has undergone test of times and has only improved every decade. From the 5 clay courts till 1999, to 4 Global Standard Hard courts, the venue has been a home to many players who have gone on to make the state & nation proud and also been a host to many Worldclass players like Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Jelena Jankovic, Patty Schnyder, Sania Mirza, Ramanathan Krishnan, Amritraj brothers, Leander Paes Mahesh Bhupathi, Stefan Edberg, Mats Wilander, etc and more importantly, the home to Rohan Bopanna too.

After 25 yr of the last rebuilding of Tennis courts which have withstood the numerous events like Davis Cups, ATP World Doubles Championships, ATP Challengers, ITF World Tennis Tours and national & state events, the courts went through another renovation with complete rehaul of the foundation and the surface. The courts were commissioned today with a prayer to the almighty. The renovated courts are waiting to be a welcome players for ITF & ATP events and for pour players to prepare for them.

The 5 month process ensured the courts are built in the best  manner and the Australian company, Laykold which has a reputation of 75 yr and is the official surface of the US Open has laid the surface. Laykold sand technology and precision court pace rating is considered the best in the industry. Its proven ability to achieve consistency across multiple courts within 0.5 of a point.

The Puja was attended by  Vice Presidents of KSLTA Mr. Lakshminarayan IAS (Retd), Mr. Dyaberi IAS (Retd), Hon. Secretary Mr. Maheshwar Rao IAS, Hon. Jt Secretary Sunil Yajaman & councillors Gayatri Rao, Peter Vijaykumar and the entire team of KSLTA.
